I clicked on one website and I am astounded at the sheer amount of bands and musicians that have been inspired by Tolkien.
Here are some of the categories:
Black Metal - Austria, USA, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Russia Hip Hop - USA Goth Metal - Mexico, Italy Death Metal - France, Sweden, Serbia Orchestral/Jazz - Italy, Germnay, France Electronic (all kinds) - Norway, Austraia, Chile, Germany, Canada, Poland, USA, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium Folk (all kinds) - Denmark, USA, Spain, Canada Punk - Netherlands, Poland Metal - UK, Namibia, Sweden, Finland, USA Rock (all kinds) - Scotland, Germany, Austria, USA, Italy
So what do you think of the music out there, have you listened to it? Do you play or write? Is there a particular aspect of the music that has been inspired that you really like?
Please discuss at your leisure...

I treasure the day I discovered Enya. She really inspired me with her style, and I sometimes put little elvish poems to celtic style music. But i'm a bit of a Michelangelo. I destroy all my music because I don't believe it could ever do Tolkien justice, unfortunately, and now its kind of a habit. I will submit one of my creations sometime, I promise!
The music on LOTR is great, I think the celtic tracks are brilliant and they've introduced me to a totally new style of music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoy listening to all three sound tracks but I have my favorites on each cd. I frequently listen to them when I'm posting and not feeling inspired. You can find music to suit any type of post whether it be fighting, romance or time well spent in a pub with your friends. What amazes me is how this music is writen well before the movie is in the can.
