What was the last book you read (or are currently reading)?
At the moment I'm rereading Lord of the Rings (for the fourth time), but I think the last book I read was Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination, by Helen Fielding, who also wrote the Bridget Jones Diary books.
Olivia Joules is something of an anti-Bridget, it's a brilliant story, a little far-fetched at times, but generally great.

That would be...Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
And before that, The Silence of the Lambs and The Unwilling Warlord. The first one is...well, it's The Silence of The Lambs. What more can you say? The other one is about this professional gambler who finds out that he's the Warlord of this little place he's never even heard of, and now he has to fight a war for them, or die. It's very funny.

I tend to pick up OotP from time to time to ready myself for the next one! Apart from that I have to read French Lieutenants Woman and Vanity Fair.

Last book I read..... well I'm reading three books currently:
The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett
When We Were Saints by Han Nolan
The Stones Are Hatching by Geraldine McCaughrean
I've read the last one several times before. It's such a good book! I'd recommend it to everyone. Especially if you're into old British monsters and stuff. But the last book(s) I completely read were the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman for the twenty fifth time. Those books are brilliant too!

At the moment, for Uni, I'm having to read children's books, which is great.
A good excuse to read the Hobbit and then argue why children at school should be encouraged to read it (because it's part of a series and so they could be prompted to go on to read more mature fantasy books - like Lord of the Rings).
I read the entire series of Lemony Snickett, which is good, they get a little predictable and confusing in some places, but on the whole they're really clever.
I'm also having to read such delights as 'Collaborative work in the primary school classroom' and 'Learning through talk' but you don't want to hear about them, do you?
